50 Years Old

OFFICIALLY 50 YEARS wise today! BRING IT!
Truth be told, I did not think I would make it to 50.
Here is why:
My dad died at age 49 (right before his 50th surprise party) and I held a fear that that was in my cards as well.
So at 36, I changed my focus to what I COULD create to not waste a minute! I focused on possibility not circumstances.
To hit my 50th bday today is sort of a feeling of relief
Here is what I now know for sure!
We are not too old and it is not too late: In the last 15 years I divorced, I beat depression, I got myself out of major debt, I met and married my true soul mate, I wrote and published two best selling books, I started and grew three successful businesses, I had a daughter, graced the cover of 14 magazines, helped over 250,000 people transform their bodies and lives, I connected to faith and god, I ended friendships that were not authentic (some were even toxic) and found my true friends.
15 years ago I was a totally different person.
I know now that we can become an entirely different person by changing your thoughts, actions and habits
I know that we are always only one decision away from different results
I know that victim mentality changes nothing. Personal responsibility is not only empowering , it brings about change that we can control
I know that TRUE Friendships feel easy, supportive and not like walking on eggshells.
I know that we can’t change others and we can’t change circumstances. But we can always change our focus and perspective
I know that worrying is a total waste of time. 95% of what we spend time worrying about never even comes to fruition.
I know that laughing (comedy), and focusing out (helping others) and turning to god is so much better than being stuck in my own head. So that is where I spend most of my time these days!
Can’t wait to see what the next years bring!
50…. LETS GO!
