Today WEGO Health proudly announced the 15 winners of our 2020 Patient-Choice Awards via a virtual awards ceremony on Facebook. The program honors pharmaceutical companies that demonstrate outstanding innovation in patient collaboration to drive improved adherence, engagement and health outcomes, and is the only one of its kind where winners are nominated and chosen by the patient community.
Now in its third year, the WEGO Health Patient-Choice Awards is sponsored in partnership with World Congress Patient Congress. Traditionally, the awards are presented at the annual World Congress Patient Congress conference in Philadelphia, but the COVID-19 crisis required us to honor this years’ winners virtually through the WEGO Health Facebook page.
At a time when the eyes of the world are focused on the need for life-saving therapies and vaccines, it is all the more heartening to recognize the life sciences companies that are doing exemplary work in collaboration with the patient community.
This years’ winners demonstrate that working with patients to shape, design and execute patient-facing engagement programs is as critical now as ever. Following a crowd-sourced nomination process, the winners were judged and scored by members of the WEGO Health Patient Leader Advisory Board, all of whom are previous winners of the annual WEGO Health Awards.
