boohoo collaborates with breast cancer awareness charity, Know Your Lemons® Foundation

In honour of breast cancer awareness month, fashion e-tailer boohoo.com has teamed up with breast cancer awareness charity, the Know Your Lemons Foundation. The charity’s mission is to help women find breast cancer as early as possible to help fewer people die from the disease.

Boohoo’s collection in conjunction with the charity will be available to shop on site and has a variety of styles including pyjamas, Hoodies, and soft touch branded underwear. Prices range from £5-20. Care labels in each item come with a reminder to take care of yourself and check your breasts. Boohoo will be donating £40K from 100% of sales on the collection.

The #KnowYourLemons Campaign is an incredibly popular awareness tool for the public that has reached nearly 1 billion people online alone and helped many women discover breast cancer earlier. boohoo is supporting the #KnowYourLemons campaign this month to help raise awareness. It’s time to show yourself and your lemons a little more care, now and always. Whatever the shape, whatever the size, you need to #knowyourlemons!

The #KnowYourLemonsChallenge

Boohoo will be supporting the Know Your Lemons Foundation in their #KnowYourLemonsChallenge. The task is simple: download the ‘Know Your Lemons’ app, learn the 12 symptoms, and then eat a slice of lemon for 12 seconds to help to raise awareness of the 12 symptoms of breast cancer, and raise funds for their work.

To complete the challenge you must time and film yourself eating a slice of lemon in 12 seconds. You must then share your video with #KnowYourLemonsChallenge, donate £5 to @knowyourlemons and nominate 5 people to try the challenge next!

Know Your Lemons – Charity- https://knowyourlemons.com/

“Know Your Lemons” is the work of designer Dr Corrine Ellsworth Beaumont, PhD. She founded the nonprofit “Know Your Lemons® Foundation” (formerly Worldwide Breast Cancer) in 2014.

The Know Your Lemons Foundation has a mission to help women find breast cancer as early as possible.

Corrine Ellsworth-Beaumont was a design student living in London, who had both grandmothers die from breast cancer. She wanted to make a difference, and came up with a brilliant way to educate using lemons, “I designed the #knowyourlemons app and campaign to make it easy to understand symptoms and how to get screened, in honor of my family and friends that I’ve lost to the disease. Today it’s now a charity that works with people in 90 countries and in 22 languages—it’s the largest education initiative ever created for breast cancer! It’s humbling to see it now become a charity and hear how our work is making a real difference in the lives of women around the world.”
