Dentistry Question Time – now available to watch on demand

This week saw the launch of Dentistry Question Time where an expert panel debated one of dentistry’s most pressing subjects.
On Monday, hundreds tuned in to FMC’s first ever Dentistry Question Time live debate.
Running for two hours, we had a number of key speakers discuss and debate a key question within the profession – is there a future for NHS dentistry after COVID-19?
And both before and on the night, clinicians had the chance to ask the questions they wanted answered.

Our panel included:
- Simon Thackery – private dentist based in Nottinghamshire
- Eddie Crouch – chair of the British Dental Association (BDA)
- Clare Robinson – NHS dentist based in Liverpool
- Nigel Jones – sales and marketing director at Practice Plan.
A number of topics were covered; from utilising dental therapists and questions around funding to future targets and the NHS contract.
‘It was an honour and pleasure to host such an informative and healthy debate on one of dentistry’s most pertinent topics,’ says Julian English, editorial director at FMC.
‘Both during and before the event, we were inundated with insightful questions from the profession. These sparked a number of debates surrounding the topic of NHS dentistry and where its future lies as the pandemic starts to wind down.
‘If you were unable to catch the debate live on Monday, no need to worry – the entire discussion is now available on Dentistry Study Club.’
